Alfa Group is a large motor car companies conglomerate in Europe. Its main competitor is the Fiat Group and its companies.
History[]
Alfa group was founded in 1957 after Alfa Romeo's acquisition of Cisitalia. Alfa group expanded over time and became known as a fine vehicles marque. The group acquired luxury brand Maserati in 1977 and followed with the overtaking of ailing De Tomaso in 1991. AG's largest brand is Alfa Romeo (including its ALSA division), which produces and exports cars globally. In 2007 AG purchased Aston Martin which was being sold by Ford.
