Almici (Italian pronunciation: [alˈmi.tʃi]) is an Agian-Italian vehicle manufacturer, the largest automaker in The Waves. The company was formed in 1906 when the first Almici automobile was produced, by Turinese twins, Flavio (1883-1937) and Rosa (1883-1978) Almici in Carlotta, San Juan.
History[]
The Almici Twins[]
The first car manufactured by Almici was the "Giadi", named for their mother, which remained in production between from 1906 to 1910. A centenary version of the Giadi was reintroduced in 2006 and has remained in production ever since. The company had originally imported a limited number of Fiat 6HP, 10HP and 12HP cars from their native Turin, after winning the contract to import cars on behalf of The Waves government.
The father of the Almici twins was the deputy to the Governor of Italian Somaliland, Vincenzo Filonardi (1853-1916). After his tenure, he relocated with his young family to The Waves.
The company remain under the ownership of the Almici family, with the headquarters still in Carlotta. Maserati was initially associated with Fiat, but more recently it has developed far greater independence. In 2017, Almici produced 78,000 vehicles.
