Amrahn Homnado (b. 1952) is the immediate former Chief of State of Ular. He was sworn in on April 15, 2005 following the assassination of Chad Henshaw. Homnado is the product of a Jordanian mother and a Spanish father. A moderate Muslim, Homnado promised a number of social and economic reforms, incuding ending Ular's status as a tax haven. Prior to Henshaw's assassination, Homnado had been the country's interior minister.
In August 2006, Homnado was defeated for re-election by the conservative Richard Stubbs, part of the country's European elite establishment. Stubbs reversed many of the reforms Homnado put in place, which may lead to sanctions.
