The 8th Armoured Division is an armoured division of the Royal Union Army. It was formed in 2005 after the joining of some armoured regiments and brigades from the former armies of Sweden and Norway. Some new brigades were added to the Division during the period 2005-2007 to reach the actual formation.

The 8th Armoured Division is one of the two belonging to the Army Fast Reaction Force and it is ready to be deployed abroad in a short time.
