The Bijani National Council formation of 1953 was the process by which the members of the National Council, the upper chamber of the bicameral National Assembly of Bijan was selected.  It was triggered by President Veki Hajasi issuing an order on Monday, February 2, 1953, for the formation of a new National Council.  President Hajasi issued an order for early elections to the Chamber of Deputies on the same day.

The 1st National Council convened on Tuesday, April 26, 1949, with 30 of its 40 members chosen. The remaining 10 members, all to be appointed by the President of Bijan, took their seats on June 15, 1949. The 1st Council survived to near its full term despite an early election to the Chamber of Deputies being ordered in October 1951.

Between 1949 and 1953, a significant amount of political realignment took place in Bijan, coalescing the dozens of small political movements into several larger, more organized parties, the largest of which was the Bijani National Party.
