During decades of the era of Military Junta, Thailand joined the allied forces against the Empire of Japan in World War II. Thai economies rapidly growth along with the growth of the military might. Japanese Empire cannot stand a change to control the region of Indochina. Then both nations of Japan and Thailand held a peace conference in Bangkok, giving Cambodia into Thailand's possession in exchange for open free trade in the region. But when Cambodia is under Thailand's control, Japanese Empire re-declared the war upon the Kingdom. Because its unacceptable deal with Japan brought to many politicians vote for re-declaring the war. Thailand has no choice but to join the Allied Forces to defeat Japan. They managed to expelled the most of the Imperial Japanese Forces out from the region.

After World War II for five years, Thailand made a deal with the British Empire to purchase the Peninsular Malaysia. Which to be called as "Victoria Purchase". In the cost of 12,000,000 US Dollar. Making the British Empire can continue to run the empire.

However, military junta controlled the country until the 1975. When the public started to denounce the military junta and mass protest began in Bangkok, calling for a huge reformation of the Thai politics. Turning Thailand to an end of the military junta and transformed into the federal state. And the constitution of Thailand rewrote again, to be the current Constitution of Thailand which is still in use for today.
