Dear contributors of the Conworlds Wiki!
When I created this project, I was sure that it would succeed. However, after weeks of hard work to promote it, I lost my hope, and not seeing any results, I left the project. When I accidentally stumbled upon it year or so later, I've been surprised by its growth. Now, with over 700 articles and many fascinating worlds, Conworlds Wiki is major Wikia project.
Sadly, the garden fell into disrepair without a skilled gardener.
So, Revolution should begin.
Beginning from today, September 15th, 2006, I ask every Conworlds contributor to help with worthy task of organizing our Wiki. If you wish, you may be given Administrator privilege (contact me on my talk page; I will determine adminship requirements on one-to-one basis). I will start some major maintenance tasks that will help our conworlds to thrive.
So, welcome back! Now you are as welcome to contribute as ever, but I hope that our site will become just a little bit better.
[edit] Stage 1: Conworld identification
First of all, I'd like to have each conworld identified. Some things I can do on my own; some information should be provided by conworld owners.
[edit] Category scheme
In Category:Conworlds, there should be two kinds of pages. First are one-page conworlds; those which now span just one wiki page. They can be put in this category directly. Multi-page conworlds should have their own subcategories in Category:Conworlds (for example, Category:World of Ur).
Second, and most important, each conworld should be flagged as collaborative or private. Being collaborative means that you enjoy other people working on your conworld; being private means that you and you only should edit main conworld pages (others are invited to post on discussion pages, though).
If you deem your conworld to be collaborative, then please put its main page in Category:Collaborative conworlds. If not, put its main page in Category:Private conworlds.
