It has come to the attention of my government that the threat of the Ebola virus entering Patagonia is real, and that no one country is safe from the afflictions of this terrible disease. Therefore, my government views it as an implicit duty that travel, trade, and migration between the nations where the virus is most prominent and Patagonia will be at the most careful level of monitoring possible. My government does not endorse open discrimination against peoples from the regions, nor will we deny access to a citizen should they have traveled to the region in question. It has been decided by my government that if the rates of infection in the countries of West Africa do not decline by the end of November, then full travel restrictions to and from such countries will be seriously considered. Again, the government acts only in the interest of the people, and means no harm or offense to any person in the enactment of such duties of the public defence. My government values the opinions of the public, and, in concordance with the precedent of the state, will keep dialogue open with the public at all times deemed appropriate. Have a good rest of your day, and may the sun shine happily with its colour upon us all.

Today, my government would like to congratulate the President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, for his third victory in securing the office. Amid claims made by many of his critics and those opposed to him of fraud within the elections, the Government of Patagonia feels as a successful and mature republic that we are obligated to assist the people should they so desire it. While the Patagonian Republic places trust in the legitimacy of the President and his Government, any infractions against the Bolivian people - our cousins in the Andes - we feel, are an infraction against all of us Australamericanos. My government values the insight of the people within the say of government, and any questions or concerns can be voiced at the appropriate dialogue locations. Have a good rest of your day, and may the sun shine happily with its colour upon us all.
