The State service for intelligence (държавната служба за разузнаване), known as DSR is the secret police and spy wing of the Republican Army, although it takes orders directly from The Party. The DSR was founded in 1960 with Soviet support. Over time the DSR became a counterbalance to the Army, keeping it in check to ensure it did not turn against the regime.

Directorate for State Security: in charge of observing all foreign nationals. Also involved in counterespinage.
Directorate for Internal Security: Monitors all phone calls, email and online communication.

Directorate for National Security: a secret armed force of 15000 meant at protecting the Republic in the event of a coup or defection by the Republican Army.
Directorate 4: An elite corps of 2000 soldiers to protect important Party officials (like a bodyguard)
