East Mainland is one of the states of the United Islands of Georgeland, taking up the eastern segment of the island of Mainland. Its land area of 380,464 sq. km makes it roughly equal in size to the U.S. state of Montana.

The state Governor is a mostly ceremonial position elected for a four-year term. The state government is the party or group of parties that controls the unicameral 115-seat state legislature - this is currently a coalition of the Conservative Party of Georgeland and the Georgeland Alliance, led by Chief Minister of East Mainland Lucien Hagerty and Deputy Chief Minister Georgia Cobar respectively.
