The Wabash Republic is the world's 6th largest economy. Its a mixed economy with fairly liberal methods in economic intervention. Practicing social corporatism, the state only intervenes when to help make necessary changes for survival for the greater good; be it at the doubt of the employer, employee or consumer. Dominated by the manufacturing and service industry its susceptible to economic downturns. With a moderate unemployment rate, the nation's abundant natural resources fuels its economy. Wabash is one of the most highly productive working forces in the world.

In recent years, the nations economy has boomed from petroleum reserves in the Dakota's and from mineral extraction from Wyoming and Montana. In the east, in the Departments of Indiana and Michigan, the car industry and steel industry are the primary manufacturing employers. Infrastructure in the Wabash Confederation is highly developed around the locomotive, with several companies providing transport on the nationally operate rail line; Wabash Rails. Monopolies only exist in areas, or nationally when it only benefits to have only one provider; that includes the distributors of electricity, water and transportation.
