Republic City is a prosperous city state in northern California. It was established on the March 5th 2277, a micro nation of former tribes and various individuals coming together to form their own sanctuary.
Politics[]
The Republic, as per its name suggests, is governed based on traditional constitutional republicanism. It has elections every 4 years, with each citizen having an opportunity to cast a vote for the next president. The position of president itself offers great political sway, though the cabinet of advisers serves to prevent corruption. Each head of government is able to rule for 6 years, and are then capable of being elected.
The country is allied with the New Californian Republic, and enemies to Caesar's Legion.
The Republic Security Force[]
The Republic Security Force protects the city from outside dangers such as raiders, creatures and other post-war civilizations and countries. The head of the security force is Nathaniel Hanlon, the son of the current president. There are currently about 300 elite members, each trained under various commanders and making use of Brotherhood of Steel power armor and other advanced rediscovered technologies.
Immigration Bureau[]
Citizenship of the Republic is a lengthy procedure as the Republicans are very cautious about who they let into their community. Asylum seekers are accepted, with a 250 Cap/Dollar immigration fee. Despite their concern, the city's population continues to grow, furthering the size of the Republic.
Education[]
The Republic has one major school, which teaches ages from 5 to 15, featuring a variety of professors and asylum-seekers who offer great expertise and knowledge of old age technology and history.
Layout[]
At the current moment, the small Republic City is built over Vault 14, with several large buildings and simple structures. The former port built nearby has provided a growing trading hub, and the city itself is laid out in a simple grid design, with a central government building and further housing complexes. These are the main homes and residences of the population. In the eastern section is the industry center, located next to a large marketplace where much of the prosperous trade occurs. Encircling the entire city is a large protective but crude fence, with several manned outpost towers to guard the perimeter.
Location[]
The Republic is located in the far north of the former state of California, close to the sea.

Many propaganda posters are adopted from those from the Vaults as they were found by the settlers and used, and also NCR posters as they also fight for the NCR is times of emergency as their allies.
