Dominic Roger Kane (8 March 1764 – 12 June 1843) was the 6th Governor of Judah and grandson of Kania's founder and first president, Roger Kane. Born into a wealthy and powerful political family, Dominic Kane was groomed to become the president of Kania by his late-30's, pushed into the office of mayor of Port Kane, which was considered a fast-track to the presidency. He gained a seat in the Federal Senate of Kania in 1796, further pushed ahead by his family and supporters seeking another Kane in office.

By the 1800s, however, Kane instead opted to become governor of his homestate of Judah instead following the end of his second term as mayor. He had no desire to deal with the pressures of the presidency or having to live up to his grandfather's name, always in the shadow of the first president to whom he was related by blood. Instead, Kane grew to prominence as the longest-serving governor of the state until n/a took the office of governor in 1928. Though he he lost the support of his family, he was highly acclaimed by those who benefited under his governing of Judah.
