France, officially the French Empire (French: Empire Français) is a large nation in Europe, spanning much of the continent. France shares land borders with Prussia, Austria, Scandinavia, Portugal, and maritime borders with Britannia. Both in size and population, France is one of the largest nations in Europe, mostly due to substantial territorial gains during the French Wars under the reign of Emperor Napoleon I. Between 1810 and 1867, the French saw a great time of massive economic, industrial, and military growth. It was until 1867 when the Berlin War began, when the puppet government of Prussia was overthrown by nationalists. Russia immediately entered on the side of the nationalists, followed by the Britannics.

In 1875, France surrendered to Russia, Britannia, and Prussia, after losing foothold on Austria and Warsaw, the latter being annexed into Russia. Danzig soon remained as the only French holding in Eastern Europe, sharing a tense border with the Prussians. During that time, Britannia began to grow more powerful and became equal and even greater than France in certain aspects.
