Henrique Neto (born October 6, 2081) is a European politician best known for being the former President of the United States of Europe. Born to a working class family in Braga, Portugal, he studied Law at the University of Porto, before rising up the ranks of the Parti Socialiste, becoming a Senator for Alentejo, and later President.
Henrique Neto was born in Braga, Portugal to working class parents. After excelling academically at school, Neto earned a scholarship to study law at the University of Porto.
Neto graduated from university in 2103 and worked for the Parti Socialiste at their Iberian office in Madrid. He impressed fellow members with his political skills and was responsible for compiling the Socialists manifesto for the 2110 presidential election.
Neto quickly rose up the ranks of the Parti Socialiste, being nominated as the Socialist candidate for Alentejo's 4th congressional district in the 2118 federal election. After being an Assembly Member for several terms, Neto was elected as the Senator for the same state, serving two terms.
In 2138, he successfully ran in the Socialist primaries for the Presidential election, which he would eventually win. As President, he passed a law legalising same-sex marriage federally, rather than just in the 50 states that had already legalised it, and led Europe through the 2139 Russian Crisis.
After deciding not to run for a second term, Neto became the chairman of the Parti Socialiste
Neto is married to Andrea Neto, a fellow politician and former Senator for Algarve. They have one child, Silvio, who has three children with his with Maria.
Neto is an agnostic and in addition to his native Portuguese speaks French, English and Spanish.
