James Reginald Eden (born 21 July 1973) is the current Secretary of Defense of the Allied States of America, elected to the position in early 2007 by then-President Henry J. Fortis. Before being chosen to serve in the executive branch of the Allied States Government, Eden was the Undersecretary of the United States Army, however, when Nevada and five other states ceded from the US, Eden was offered this position by Fortis.
Early life and career
Eden was born in Carson City, Nevada. His mother, Elora, was of Canadian ancestry, and his father, Jeremiah Eden, was a native-Kansan. Eden attended Mark Twain Elementary School as a child, Carson Middle School, and Carson High School respectively. Eden was raised as a Christian. After graduating from Carson High, Eden attended the University of Nevada, at Reno graduating with a Bachelors degree in political sciences, specifically in military science.
After graduating, Eden went to work for the Department of Defense and soon served on the Defense Policy Board Advisory Committee. In October 1999, Eden was chosen as the Undersecretary of the Army. He served as the Undersecretary up until January 2007, when his home state, Nevada ceded from the United States, when he resigned after receiving a special invitation by President Fortis to become the Allied States' Secretary of Defense.
Eden has been married to Kylie Eden (born 12 June 1976) since 1995, when they met in San Diego where Eden was vacationing. Together, they have two children, Bobby and Reginald ("Reggie"). The family now lives outside Las Vegas.
