Lorican, or High Lorican, is the language of the mage-priests of Luminarism. Luminarism spread the language to practically all of the civilized world, and vestiges of it may be found throughout the world. The mage-priests popularized the use of Lorican for spell incantations; the language would in turn be adopted for use by other spellshapers in the crafting of their own spells. Because it is a language most likely understandable by peoples far away, it is often used in the naming of important places, events and regions.

See Language (Lorica) for details of the language.
