Mary Elizabeth Byrne (b. May 15, 1949) is a Georgeland politician from the Conservative Party of Georgeland. She was leader of her party from 2001-2002, the first woman to lead the Opposition in Georgeland. In 2002 she was defeated by Campbell Rhodes in the election and was replaced as leader by Michael Fisch. Byrne currently serves in the Shadow Cabinet as Shadow Minister for Education. She represents the constituency of Topstad. She is a Roman Catholic.
