Mayor of Doubledance

The Mayor of Doubledance is the chief executive of the City of Doubledance, elected by all residents of the city for a four-year term. There are no term limits. The last election was held on September 4, 2004; the next will be held on June 30, 2008. The present Mayor is Douglas Scofield.
Along with the Mayor of Santa Christina, the Mayor of Doubledance is considered one of the most senior and powerful local government officials in Georgeland.

Note: The position of "Mayor" was called the "Lord Mayor" from 1861 until 1930. Prior to 1948, when Doubledance's local government area was expanded to cover the entire metropolitan area, the Mayor governed only the much smaller City of Doubledance urban area.
