Mihai Goganescu was a ban and he was born in Pohlania, Ias in 1728. He conquered lands to Salbons near Graila. He died near Sfarsoara monastery 1771 and buried there.

It is known for being one of the first fighters of the war Unionist cause of pohlania binding.
