</tr></tr></tr></tr></tr></tr></tr></table> The Monarchy of the Kingdom of Nalatia is the constitutional monarchy of the Kingdom of Nalatia. Queen Julia has reigned since 1 January 1998. She and her immediate family undertake various official, ceremonial and representational duties. Until January 2, 2012, the Monarch will be active in government as they have been since 31 December 1976 after the Constitution of Nalatia went into affect. While the Queen will still undertake ceremonial and representational duties, her ruling capabilities will be severely limited, with her taking no part in Parliament. She will continue to award honors, awards and titles to people deemed important to the people of Nalatia.

Constitutional role

According to the Constitution of Nalatia signed 1976, "...there shall be no Prime Minister" and "the Monarch shall be the highest power in the land". Because of this, the Monarch was traditionally considered the head of state in Nalatia, being able to approve and veto laws, dissolve Parliament, among other duties.

In the 30 October 2011 revision of the Constitution, this is no longer true, with the Prime Minister being listed as the "head of government beginning January 3, 2011" and the President as the "head of state". Thus, the Queen's new role will be unclear, she is presumed to be neither head of state nor head of government but simply being a figure.

Religious role

Queen Julia is the current Head of the Church of Nalatia. This is a mostly symbolic title, and Queen Julia rarely partakes in any sort of leadership in the church.
