Nima, officially known as the Niman Federative Republic, is a sovereign state located in the north of the Kanto continent. Nima borders Vaskea to the west, Hondae to the south and shares a maritime border with Mue across the Sea of Hondae. As of 2015 Nima has a total population of over 35 million people. The capital and largest city is Tsentra. Nima consists of 15 states spanning a total area of more than 16,000,000 square kilometres, Nima is the largest country in the world by land area.

Nima has had a long and chequered history, exerting influence as one of the world's most politically powerful states for centuries. Nima's proximity to Mue, another powerful nation, has caused conflicts of interests throughout history, notably the Hondae Conflict in the 18th century and the Global War. However Mue and Nima have developed friendlier relations since the early 20th century both being founding members of the Union for Peace and Prosperity following the Global War in the 1920's. Formerly a highly powerful military power ruled by military dictatorships until 1924, successive Niman governments decreased the nation's military capabilities due to the public's distrust of the military following the overthrow of the dictatorship of Kal Atlan, fitting with global trends following the Global War.

Since the overthrow of military rule in Nima, the nation has developed strong and closely guarded social democratic traditions following the Democratic Reforms of 1925 led by the Niman People's Union. Nima has become a considerably influential global power, speaking out for peace and human rights in the modern world. Actively involved in peace-keeping activities, Nima has diplomatic missions in every country in the world.

Culturally, Nima is often branded as one of the most progressive nations in the world, and is sometimes seen as a benchmark by many international organisations advocating for human rights. However Nima still faces issues with racism against Muese Nimans, who make up a considerable percentage of the population in the eastern states of Nima.
