Old Countries

Old Countries is a name for 26 sovereign nations, situated in Midlands, Orient and Onelands, from western shores of El Santos to Far Shores, where sun is rising, from frozen reaches of Nordland to molten deserts of Al-Zayyid.

Bretonn - big flatland in western part of Midlands. Founded in 610 Iron Age by Louis I the Magnificient, son of Iron Emperor Adwulf
Luilent - half-sunken archipelago at the northeast of Bretonn. Founded in late SA by Wilhelm of Luilent, Bretonnian merchant mage.
Aurious - duchy in south of Bretonn, was ruled by immortal Auric from 260 Iron Age to early Steam Age

Holy Throne - Although Holy Throne is set right of Steel Throne in Stahlberg, Holy Throne domain is set in Fort Sanctum in Lazio. 100-mile area near Fort Sanctum belongs completely to the High Hierophant.
Lazio - area on Snake Penninsula divided by several dozens city-states. Underwater city of Aquatorius is renown globally as largest artifact trading center.
Snakestail - called Serpento in Lazina, it is southern province of Lazio, loose confederation of different agrarian feuds, converted to the One Faith. Snakestail serves as an One Faith outpost in Holy Shores. Several wars were accomplished in Steel Age between Holy Throne and Snakestail.
El Santos - westernmost country of the world, it was founded in 197 Steel Age after King Nando I of Lantrop and Queen Maria of El Patra have married and united their kingdoms.
Worldgates - former western gates of the Wall, now it's just two columns at the edge of Middlesea and Gateberg city built near them. Gateberg is an important trade center, with ships sailing to Onelands

Suizeland - little country in high Dragonteeth mountains, mostly populated by gnomes. Was founded in 22 Steel Age by Willem Tinkertone, gnome mechanic. Suizelanders created steam engine, clocks, powder and guns, autocrossbows and other valuable gadgets/
Stahlberg - Independent city of Stahlberg was founded in 550 Iron Age by Iron Emperor Adwulf to be capital of his empire. Unfortunately, Stahlberg was very important defensive castle on border between Bretonn and Eisenland and was conquered and reconquered many times. Stahlberg became very important point in 1 Steel Age, when Empress Elisabeth placed her throne there.
Eisenland - federated union of over 500(!) feuds of various lords. Once was a mighty empire, but crumbled down in the VIIIth century Iron Age. Conquered by Empress Elisabeth in Ist century Steel Age.

Svyatogorye - big flatland from western reaches of Osten Valley to Han's Borderwall, from Deathsea in south to Frostsea in north.

Al-Fazeem - mountaintop castle far to east of Inaxus, property of Wind Imams. One of four main One Faith empires, Al-Fazeem is just an outpost of bigger land situated on the clouds, Fazeemi Lands. Fazeemi Lands are populated mostly by genies, while human Imams must reside in Al-Fazeem castle.

Han - ancient Dragon empire in the eastern part of Orient. It is ruled by Dragon Kings, dynasty of whose stands for almost 4000 years. Quite possibly that Dragon Kings are only descendants of the Ancients.
