The President of Jefferson is the elected head of state and head of government of Jefferson, and the leader of the executive branch of the federal government. The president is directly elected by the popular vote along with the vice president, who runs as the president's running mate. The president serves a four-year term with no term limit.

The office of president was established by the Constitution in 1866. The president acts as the head of the Cabinet and the commander-in-chief of the Jeffersonian Armed Forces. The president also has the power to veto pieces of legislation. The president can also call for a referendum, and nominate members of the Cabinet at the beginning of his/her term or in case of a vacancy, and federal judges in case of a vacancy. These actions require the approval of the General Assembly.
