The Prime Minister of the Cape Colony (PM) is the head of the Cape Colonial Government in the Cape Colony. The Prime Minister is elected by and from the Common Council of the Cape Parliament to form the government, and appoints other Members of Parliament (M.P.), usually from his political party, as his Cabinet. Being a statutory position, the Prime Minister and the Cape Colonial Government are regulated and governed by the Executive Government Act 1912. The offices and residence of the Prime Minister is located in Garden Home, in the Company's Garden, adjacent to the Houses of Parliament, Cape Town.

The current Prime Minister, Leonard Christianson of the Cape Party, was elected on 2 June 2010, succeeding two-time Prime Minister Oliver Fenlon. He is the second black person to hold the office; the former having been David Eaddy between 1945 and 1951.
