Primorje is former city of SR Croatian to 1992 and city of Republic of Bania as of 1995. In 1991 city is cleaned of croatians by JNA forces about 6,000 croatians refugee to Dubrovnik .Banian-Croatian border 2km north of Primorje.
In 1992 when JNA breakup from Dubrovnik Croatian forces try to back Primorje to Croatan control but Banian Armed Forces mined Primorje Tunnel and stoped Croatain forces to entire to the city . Croatian artillery bombing city around mountains more than three years to 1995 when both sides end siege by piece . After siege tunnel is renovated and backed in function and today there is Banian-Croatian border. In 2000 year Italia govrnment gives Bania €100 million euros to renovated Port of Primorje and today more of 50% Italian exports to Balkan states go across Banian Corridor to Serbia and Bosnia . Demographics in 1991: 10,200 Croatians and 42,100 Banians ,in 2010: 2,123 Croatians ,50 Italians and 60,201 Banian . The most populus sports in city are many watersports and most football with most popular football club FK Primorje. Most important for city economy is port who employee about 2,000 and many others restaurants and hotels by touristic sector .
