Raul Alvarez International Airport (Aeropuerto Internacional de Raul Alavarez) is the main airport serving the Republic of Tropico , and the only international airport in the country, It is located 2 Miles from the capital San Jose La Rinconada.
The airport was first built the 1920s and was originally barely used as sea travel was the main way into the island (which was then ruled by Spain). The airport underwent development in the 1950's and again the 1980's when the tourist boom came to Tropico.
