Red eyes is a symbol of evil, dread, and death. Many ancient races had red eyes and they were killed by humans. For a thousand years wars broken out and more monsters were killed. The real monsters however were the humans.
The Mothmen of the Magnaverse are known to have red, disk like eyes. This trait is also passed on to Indrid Cold.
