Post-Collaspe

On May 1, 2015 California governor Jerry Brown and his staff formed the Republic of California, and on June 1, the Californian Constitution was drafted and printed, with the signatures of cities in the area. Even though the republic claimed all of California, it only dominated northern California and San Francisco Bay, and had to deal with the smaller city states in between the area.

In the winter, spring, and summer of 2015, California milita advanced south toward the LA Basin. Most city-states quickly joined the Republic, while others put up resistance, and were crushed. The garrisons at Point Mugu, Oxnard, and Santa Monica put up resistance, but fell by October 2015. When California reached LA, much of the city was destroyed, and the only standing parts of the city was the US Bank Tower, and the Hollywood Sign.

In the spring of 2016, the Republic of Riveside, an smaller but powerful country to the south, quickly recongized the government in Sacramento, and the Riverside-California Treaty of Unification was signed. This treaty led to the Republic of California coming from Northern California to the end of Southern California.

In the summer of 2016, Californian troops entered the former state of Nevada to find the city of Las Vegas undamaged, and organized by the Las Vegas Police Department. Seeing the oppurtunities provided by southern Nevada, in November 2016, California troops moved in annexed Clark County, and aquirred Las Vegas, Nellis Air Force Base, and Hoover Dam. In December, Reno was captured by the Republic of California, and all of Nevada came under control.

On December 1, 2016 Baja California was annexed by the Republic of California, adding to the already large State of San Angeles.
