The Republic of San Andreas is a new nation that is settle on the island of San Andreas. There are three counties: Red County, Flint County, and Bone county. Each county has one big city which are the county's seats: Los Santos (Red County), San Fierro (Flint County), and Las Venturas (Bone County). The counties also have smaller communities such as Blueberry, Angel Pine, and Palomino Creek.
The island on what is now San Andreas was discovered in 1662 was Spain. The United States bought the island from Spain for $1,500,000 in 1872 and it became the Territory of San Andreas. At the time, San Andreas had only one county (Red County). San Andreas became a state on December 13, 1880 and at that time, Red County split into two. The Northern part of the county (includes San Fierro, and Las Venturas) became Bone County while the southern half of the county (Los Santos and outer areas) remained as Red County. In 1934, the Western portions of San Andreas (Angel Pine, Mount Chiliad, San Fierro area) split from Bone and Red Counties to create Flint County.
Much of San Andreas has a Mediterranean climate. Cool rainy winters and dry warm summers occur. Bone County has a Desert Climate with colder winters and hot summers. In Bone County, it is not uncommon for temperatures to reach above 100*F on a daily basis.
