Solarize is a charm that causes the sun to seem as if it were much more intense, in the area under its effect and as long as it remains in effect. The transition can be gradual or abrupt; the degree to which this charm is powerful can be altered as well. It is useful for converting a cold day of bad weather into conditions fit for swimming on the beach. It also has the psychological effect of improving peoples' mood (unless you prefer dismal weather, which is just weird).
