The Stratocratic Coalition is a body of nations that have banded together to defend themselves from democratic, liberal, and radical Islamic movements. All nations are united by way of their stratocratic governments, all of which were sponsored by the Hurian Federation, which leads the alliance as the first amongst equals. The Coalition is analogous of NATO and the now defunct Warsaw Pact, consisting of nations which share the same government and values. Also, some nations, while not stratocracies, are included, most being former client states of Huria. The nation was formed following fears of attacks on them by enemies of Huria, and lead to their banding together to survive.
The Stratocratic Coalition was founded on July 31, 2012, following the breakaway of seven of Huria's sectors. Fearing this may have been the start of something greater, Huria announced to its allies that it was time to work together to preserve their ways of life. The alliance was not in working order yet, and the nation advised to wait for Huria to flesh it out the details of the organization. However, the next day, the North African Freedom Organisation was founded, and claimed all nations not aligned with Huria. This was considered an outrage, and Huria was fast to respond. It dragged its allies out of NAFO by force, and threatened to destroy any nation that attempted to prevent this. On August 1st, the alliance was at full operational capacity. The organization has been relatively active since its hasty formation, primarily organization a singular military force that will fight on behalf of all member nations. On August 10th, Nigeria attempted to sucede from the Coalition, doing so successfully, but losing the northern Muslim half which had sought a chance to leave the Christian-dominated country. It is apart of the Coalition as Hausaland.
