The Independent Ground Forces, known as the Brownshirts, are the soldiers fighting for the Independant Alliance. Known as Brownshirts due to their brown-tinted body armor and shirts, the Brownshirts are generally less well equipped than Commonwealth Soldiers, however they make it up in sheer courage and determination. The simplicity of their gear is due to the few resources that the Independent Alliance have access to. The Brownshirts often engage in skirmishes and aid small civilian uprisings or protests against the Commonwealth.
