Earth or Di Qui (地球) is the third planet from the Sun in the Sol System, and is the densest, and fifth-largest of the eight planets in the Solar System, and the largest of the systems four terrestrial planets. Often referred to as the World or Terra. Earth is the origin planet of the human race, who ventured out into the system and colonised Mars , Luna and Venus following the Great Rise of sea levels on Earth coupled with destruction of the environment, however people who chose to stay on Earth, and people who could not emigrate becaus of medical conditions still stay on Earth, although there is generally a better lifestyle on newly opened worlds. The Global Commonwealth of Allied Planets retains its capital, Ariel , on Earth, where it governs all of humanities territories, however the Commonwealth is moving its capital to Serenity on Venus in 2096.
Before the Great Rise, Global Dimming effects were used as a last geoengineering resort by Earths powers, however this did not take effect and instead dimmed the Earth by 20% due to increased Aerosols released into the troposphere. This caused increase rainfall, and cloud cover, and reduction of light during the day. As a result Earth is often known as a 'haven for the 'undesirables,' people who could not leave Earth, and many cities across Earth have exprienced social decay.
