Changes in Kalmar Union history (April 2018)[]
I have decided to make some changes in the history of Kalmar Union and maybe even a name change. The truth is that I want to change the name but it would mean changing all the written articles one by one and they are too many to be a simple job. This changes are not going to affect anything of what Kalmar Union is today, but perhaps they would help to better determine the cohesion of the nation and some of the ideas that I will develop in the coming weeks, such as the importance of the aristocracy. As far as the rest of the nations of Altverse, I do not think it affects them at all, except if I decide to change the name in those references that may exist.
The historical changes that I will make go back to the 19th century, specifically until 1814, in the w:Swedish–Norwegian War (1814). I intend to change the course of the war so that Sweden is defeated and is forced to accept a personal union of the crowns of Norway, Sweden and Denmark under the reign of the Danish king. From then on, the story will be maintained more or less the same until after the Second World War when it was decided to create a single state instead of the personal union that had existed and in this way link with the current structure of the state that is already developed.
Of course, when in the future we together decide to develop what happened in Altverse in the first half of the 20th century, history would have to adapt in the same way as the rest of Altverse nations.
With this change I do not intend to change the boundaries or current territories of Kalmar Union that will continue to be Denmark (with Southern Schleswig, Faroe and Greenland), Norway (with Svalvard and its Antarctic dependencies) and Sweden. --BIPU (talk) 16:04, April 11, 2018 (UTC)
- There is a program called AutoWikiBrowser which allows something like name changes to be altered very quickly using a bot. If you're interested in downloading it and using it, let me know as I can help you with the program to automate these changes with it. Alternatively, I'd be happy to do the task for you as I have done something similar to this before.
