Christina Jones, usually referred to as Tina Jones (b. August 4, 1961) is a Georgeland politician who has represented the West Mainland seat of Humphries since 2001. She is currently Minister for Transport and Housing in the government of Zoe Parker. Ms. Jones is a Liberal Democrat but was a member of the Democratic Party from 1993 until 2004, when it ceased to exist. She was elected to her seat, which is located in the outskirts of Santa Christina, in 2001 after the retirement of the previous member, Joe Cox, and captured the seat from the Conservatives with a substantial swing. She has retained her seat at two further elections but her grip on it remains tenuous, and her seat is one of the most marginal in the country.
Tina Jones was appointed as Minister for Transport and Housing, a junior position subordinate to the Minister for Home Affairs, in April 2006 following a reshuffle. It is unusual for a minister, even a junior one, to represent a marginal seat.
Ms. Jones is not married but lives with her long-term partner in Flaxton. They have one son.
