The Trans-Pacific Allied Community (abbreviated TPAC) is an intergovernmental military alliance and socioeconomic organization established by the Treaty of the Pacific in 2006. The primary purpose of the organization is to provide and coordinate collective defense and security among its member states, all of which are located within the Asia-Pacific region. It is considered to be the Pacific equivalent to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization as both serve similar interests and member states.
TPAC has been seen as one of the most influential geopolitical entities in the Second Cold War and represents the capitalist-oriented Western presence in the Pacific region. It, along its partner NATO and rivals, the IOSS and SCO constitute the main alliances in the cold war.
