Wessex Declaration of Independence

The Wessen Declaration of Independence was a statement adopted by the Wessen Parliament, on the 15th April, 1972, declaring the Commonwealth of Wessex as an independent nation. The declaration was recognised later the same day by the newly formed Great Council of Crowns of the Great British Confederation.

The declaration was ratified on the 15th, and officially distributed to the public, both via the newly created, 'Wessex Standard' Newspaper, and the Radio and Television broadcasts by the WBC. The official Declaration of Independence is now housed within the entrance hall of the Parliament Building in Bristol.
