The West Commons Medical System is a not-for-profit healthcare organization. It operates more than 32 entities, including twelve hospitals in the National Capital region of Atlion. As the area's largest health system, it is also one of its largest employers, with more than 23,000 employees.
General[]
West Commons hospitals serve more than a million patients annually. The medical system's areas of clinical activity include cardiology, cardiac surgery, oncology services, rehabilitation, neurosciences, orthopedic surgery, women's services, and emergency and trauma services. West Commons has comprehensive services including primary, urgent and subacute care, medical education and research. Other health-related services include assisted living, home health and long-term care. West Commmons also operate nursing homes, senior housing, adult day care, rehabilitation and ambulatory centers, as well as maintains the Luminaire Primary Care Network, a comprehensive physician network in the National Capital Region and Broker.
Dave X. Chambers is West Commons's president and chief executive officer.
Economic Impact[]
West Commons is among the largest employers in the region. West Commons also maintains a high rating from all national bond rating agencies. In addition, system entities purchase more than $2.7 billion in goods and services for the region. West Commons associates receive more than $1.6 billion in compensation each year.
