Terrain and Climate
Zectus has often been described as the 'jungle planet' owing to its massive expanses of forests across its surface. This is mainly caused by large amounts of rainfall on the planet, meaning that the soil is particularly moist. The planet is also very flat, with few mountains.
While the Inzecti dominate, there are an assortment of mammals and a few reptiles. As less than forty percent of the planet is land, there is much less marine life than would otherwise be found. Instead, land animals dominate. Because of the dense forests, flying has been a useful advantage to develop, and in consequence the sky is covered with birds and the occasional flying mammal.
